Aloha Bureau is a small company based on the island of Kaua‘i, committed to creating all-natural skincare and sustainable home goods for happy, healthy living.

Purpose: Each of our botanical skincare products is carefully formulated to nourish, hydrate, and brighten any skin type.  Our products are formulated with botanical oils and extracts chosen for their synergistic and therapeutic properties. Everything we make is handcrafted in small batches to ensure freshness and maximize botanical benefits.

Social and Environmental Responsibility: We are committed to sourcing ingredients that are sustainably produced, organic and wild-crafted and vow never to use synthetic fragrances, chemicals, and parabens or use any ingredient tested on animals. Our packaging is chosen to minimize waste. We use recyclable glass bottles, jars, and decomposable cardboard and paper. We use as little plastic as possible.

The Aloha Bureau Story: Aloha, my name is Lora. I also go my Momilani, the name given to me at birth by my tutu. I am the founder of Aloha Bureau. I have always had sensitive skin and battled acne and combination skin all my life. I moved to Denver, Colorado after having lived on O'ahu for 20 years. Moving to a dry climate with drastic seasonal changes really made my sensitive skin freak out! I tried every product I could find including prescription lotions and soaps recommended by my dermatologist. Nothing worked.

Desperate for a solution, I researched natural ways of healing my skin. I started making body butters and research everything I could about botanical ingredients and their healing properties. My formulations worked, and I got hooked. I love studying everything I can about botanical skincare formulations.

It’s been a long while since my initial body butter formulation and I continue to be as excited as I was back then about formulating with natural botanical ingredients. In 2017, I moved back to Hawai'i, this time to the "Garden Isle", Kaua'i, the perfect place for cultivating and sharing knowledge and aloha. Looking to nature for solutions is always a good idea!
